Jim Parkinson is the chief experience officer of North American Bancard Holdings, LLC. (NAB), a multi-faceted payment solutions provider dedicated to delivering the latest payments technology with the highest level of customer service. Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, NAB ranked as one of the industry’s top 30 acquirers and was also named 2014 ISO of the Year at the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Star Awards.
Parkinson is responsible for the overall experience of the organization's products and services as well as the engineering of its world-class payment solutions. These responsibilities compel him to focus on his passion for a frictionless experience.
Parkinson comes to NAB with extensive experience with digital projects and strategies, and in leading large complex teams. In his most recent position at Valassis, Parkinson was the chief technical officer, chief digital officer and executive vice president of digital advertising, where he was responsible for the oversight of the company’s technology directions, development, and implementation of the digital media strategy. Before joining Valassis, Parkinson spent more than two decades at Sun Microsystems in a variety of positions, including senior vice president of cloud computing engineering, and led the software development products division. While there, he was part of the team that built the world’s first utility computing platform that led to the introduction of cloud technology.
Parkinson graduated with honors from Walden University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems.
